New Year, New Energy

This is the first time in ten years that I do not have a long laundry list of New Years Resolutions. And let me tell you… it’s so freeing to be in this space. Although I believe in the phrase “New Year New Me” simply because whatever mindset provides you a way to fresh start your life and ideas go for it. However, In past years I was too hard on myself during this time of year. I placed all these demands on myself and pressure to live a certain way. When I did not meet those extravagant goals I allowed myself to feel defeated.

So, I lightened up a little bit this time around. It doesn’t mean I do not have any goals for 2020 and I plan on winging it. It just means I am viewing life and the new year from a more simplistic state of mind. You know flowing not forcing. I remain extremely goal oriented and self motivated when I put my mind to it. I am removing the pressure of “Needing things to be a certain way”. This I feel is a special type of mental health and self care.

This past month I was heavily reflecting on how 2019 was for me. It was by far the best year I have ever had. I owe that feeling to my spiritual growth. I can’t express in simple terms how I have grown in this area, just know that my aura is shining bright and I see life from a very different place. In addition, to my spiritual practice I have elevated in mindset, boosted my social life and just allowed myself to have fun. Last year was the first time I truly lived with no rules and did whatever the fuck I wanted. Whatever made me happy I did without overthinking it. I basically put myself first at all costs.

Stepping into this New Year I plan on keeping that same energy and continuing to create more best years to come. I’m setting a clear intention for 2020 with the foundation of growth in all areas of my life. I don’t know about you but I am setting my intention of manifesting increased financial stability, wholesome organic relationships, self care & beauty rituals, being of service to others, inner healing, and enjoying life by experiencing more.
