Failure
Do you fear failure? What is the relationship between your failures and your success?
I’ve always been a person afraid to take risks and the thought of failing allowed me to remain in my comfort zone. Sometimes longer than I needed to be. Through conversations with my peers I realized I was not the only one.
My failed attempts at life have deconstructed my thoughts surrounding it. In many experiences failure has inspired me to take more risks and express gratitude for the wisdom it provided. Specifically, I think about my failed relationships and career paths. Those negative experiences have placed fear in my subconscious mind. However, it provided a new thought process about how to achieve success in my future.
I have come to realization of knowing when I am holding myself back due to the feeling of fear verse the feeling of something just not feeling right internally. I am committing to push forward when fear arises and I am giving myself permission to say no when things do not feel right in my heart. These are two very different feelings.
We should not fear failure, but learn to embrace it and see the positive message that it brings into our life. For me failure evoked change, but it was based upon my perspective. On a more positive thought it can teach us compassion and solidarity for others who may have experienced the same hardships as us. We can use this information to learn and develop personally to achieve greatness in our lives.
