Self-Reflection

I recently read that self-reflection is the key to a happy life. While I have been in a reflective space for quite some time, I wondered if this resonated with those around me. How often do you look in the mirror? Do you recognize the person you see?

We often have experiences that are a direct reflection of our own lives. It is our state of mind that creates these experiences. We consciously choose to see them positively or negatively. We consciously choose to react from familiar spaces or to see things from a new perspective. I honestly have held onto old ways of dealing with things.

My memory triggered me to respond the same old way to new situations and new people. I recognized I had created this cycle that I was struggling to break. Self-reflection has helped me see myself for who I truly am. To see that It was my response and mindset that needed adjustment. I was tired of creating storms based on the past. I wanted to create sunshine with my new improved mind. That took me facing me.
