INtentions for 2023

Annnnd just like that we are completing our first month of the year. I am a little nervous at how fast the last few weeks have gone, but excited about the coming months. My excitement was wavering at times; I had moments of full on motivation and others where I felt unsure about what this year would bring me.

That’s the thing! It’s about what I will bring to this year. If I set the right intentions and move with purpose all will be well. Just like if I sit on my ass and complain all will be unwell. Long story short its up to me to make it happen. Luckily I have full control over my mindset, thoughts, behaviors, and actions….Oh and my energy. :: Lights Sage::

My mentor says all the time “where your attention goes, energy flows”. With that being said where has your attention or shall I say INTENTION been the past few weeks. Are you falling back into old habits and ways or have your been pushing yourself to the next level. I can admittingly say I have done a little bit of both. We all have our days, but the important part is catching myself quickly.

The faster I can acknowledge when I am going into a funk is the faster I can put all my energy into staying positive and utilizing tools to help me stay grounded. My favorite tool to get back on track is to ask myself what and why I desire the things I have my heart set out to achieve. That’s a hack to instantly shift me back into focus mode.

Here are a few INTENTIONS that will help you make the best of 2023:

Ground yourself in Self-Love, Healing, and Authenticity

When you know who you are and remain true to yourself you undoubtedly become unfuckwithable or untouchable. No one can tell you about you. No one can push you into a dark corner. No one can make you do things you do not feel comfortable doing. Set your focus on self-love, self-care, and mental wellness.

Follow what sparks joy for you. Follow your heart.

We’re often told to listen to our intuition. It’s our inner guiding tool that allows you to trust yourself and the choices you make for your life. Do the things that inspire you and make you internally happy. Allow yourself to stand tall and not become easily persuaded by what others are doing or the illusions around you. Ask yourself does this feel right for ME? I promise your gut will tell you the answer.

Count every blessing and win. Celebrate!

No matter how trivial it might feel start giving yourself kudos for all the things you accomplish. When we operate from the energy of gratitude, magically more things to be grateful for start to be revealed to us. Celebrate the smallest things, and begin to spread love to those around you. Watch the magic happen!

Put your dreams on paper. Write what’s on your mind.

List out all of the beautiful things you wish to accomplish this year and beyond. This requires some intention and introspection, because during this exercise what you truly value will be a question in your mind. If any doubt, fear or self-limiting beliefs pop-up; write those on a separate sheet of paper. It’s good to visually see what could be keeping you stagnant from your goals. Now set the INTENTION to not let anything stop you from your dreams. Remember you are in control.
