gratitude changed my life

The moment I started practicing gratitude daily my life changed. I slowly began to see beauty in all things even pain. The darkest of times seemed to have even the tiniest spec of light within them.

My gratitude journey arrived simultaneously as my journey to detachment. Both parts went hand in hand for me. The more I started to detach from outcomes, the need to control things, and people the more enjoy I saw in the fact that I was lucky to experience them. I took everything in with honor. I was honored to wake up each morning. I am honored to be able to work in my passion. I was honored to have hot water and a comfy bed.

All of the mundane parts of life did not seem so bad suddenly. This brought a great sense of inner peace to my vibration. I deeply understood that I owned nothing and no one, these things were here for me to enjoy while I could. Slowly fear and hate left my heart and was replaced with love and abundance. Everything became a gift..the sun, flowers, the rain. I began to see people for who they truly were and learned to love them anyway.

Gratitude became integrated in all parts of me -mind, body, spirit, and soul. My attitude and perspective took on a new approach. My self-love and self-care practice had new meaning. Happiness began to find me. I was manifesting greatness quicker. My aura and skin started glowing with pure radiance. I saw the people around me become happier and lighter in their approach to life. Because of all these things I choose to stay in gratitude. It’s really nice here.

I encourage you to spend at least 5 minutes in gratitude each day. Watch how your life begins to shift.

Here are 8 ways you can practice gratitude

  1. Spend a few hours a week decompressing your mind, body, spirit, and soul

  2. Create positive affirmations and mantras you can speak daily

  3. Limit all negative and unpleasant interactions (with people and via social media)

  4. Treat yourself to something special each payday - I buy fresh flowers often

  5. Challenge yourself to stay grounded in the present moment

  6. Meditate and do breathwork daily - I prefer upon opening my eyes and right before sleep

  7. Spend time in nature - Give thanks to the sun, moon and earth you walk on

  8. Spend time with people who elevate your spirit and make you laugh
