Throughout life I have learned to pivot by what I considered forced change. I will admit I have not been open to change. As, I grew older I became content with comfortable situations and tried my hardest to maintain that level of comfort. I did not understand I was limiting my personal growth and living in stagnation.

The definition of Pivot means something that turns or balances. I have viewed pivoting negatively and it represented a shift in my life that I often did not approve of. Pivoting is a mental and physical state for me. The mental is being able to adapt a positive mindset to my daily experiences. The Physical is the action of willingly doing something different to achieve my goals.

In changing my perspective on life, I realized that being open and fluid to pivoting can lead to success.  Having the ability to recognize when I need to change my plan has allowed me to better align myself with my goals. Allowing myself to operate from different positions and redirect my life to best benefit me.

I overthink almost everything and often get stick in a rabbit hole of negative thoughts, simply learning to pivot my thinking during those times had added such joy and gratitude to my life. So much that I can share a different outlook with those around me. On top of overthinking, I like to plan every detail and when may plans seem to go left I get discouraged. I learned to let those experiences help me create new effective plans that will push me further toward my goals. There are no obstacles that I cannot overcome.

Since the season is changing, I challenge you to learn to change with it. When your life needs a boost simply pivot your attention to something productive and act on it.
