Healing Toxic Relationship Energy
Toxic behavior can appear in any of our relationships, but for now we will focus on intimate connections. These patterns can manifest consciously or subconsciously in repeated cycles if we are unware of what they look like. Acknowledging the energy that is present in your romantic relationships is just as important as acknowledging your role in it.
It’s possible for a person to not understand the level of toxicity and even further how that energy was created in the first place. Many times we are unaware of the cycles we are repeating and how our actions play out in our connections. These behaviors can develop from long term trauma, childhood trauma, or our own self-sabotaging ways. All of which is cultivated over our lifetime and with each and every interaction we have with others. Being unware only delays the process of healing the energy. Hence, a repeated cycle begins.
Each of my relationships played a very big part in my individual growth. One of the biggest lessons I learned was my ability to transmute all disharmony into love. Love to give to others, but more importantly the love I showed myself - Self-Love!. This elevated mindset strongly heighted my level of physical, emotional, and mental healing, and created the energy of feeling whole.
Healing toxic patterns in your relationships take a certain level of awareness and learning the right tools to assist in releasing that energy for good. The releasing of energy can only occur if you are ready to understand which toxic cycles you and your partner(s) are currently facing. Some toxic energies include:
Silent Treatment
Withholding Affection
Co-dependency
Emotionally Unstable
Anger and Frustration
Emotionally Unavailable
Low Trust Levels
Low Levels of respect
Passive Aggressive or Narcissistic Behavior
Selfishness or Neediness
I have experienced all of these unhealthy energies in most of my romantic relationships. In an effort to release and heal I had to start within. Looking in the mirror and deciding to change how I loved me and not so much looking at the other person to change. We cannot change others we can however lead by example and hope to positively influence them.
Here are some tools that I have used over the years to begin healing toxic energy in my intimate relationships:
Mindset Deprograming
Reflecting on all the experiences and dynamics of the relationship. The energy I was continuing to perpetuate over and over. Erasing the blame game, negative thinking, and being the self proclaimed victim who “Got Hurt”. I was committed to letting that energy go so I can create a new reality that I would being to manifest. Those old thought patterns and old baggage could no longer move into the future with me. That means there were some things I had to change about myself and my actions. Removing those blockages opened the door for true intimacy, honestly, and unconditional love. I was not sitting in the energy of being unloved anymore.
Womb Healing / Semen Retention
Sexual relationships that are toxic can leave this negative energy that settles in the mind, body, spirit, and soul. Sexual energetic cords are formed between the two individuals. Toxic energy transferred to your body can cause a major shift that can affect different areas life. Clearing that energy can be done by intentionally focusing on your sexual energy. Women can heal their womb and do various healing techniques such as using herbal pearls to detox the womb. Men can try a technique called semen retention to restore life force to their body and heal. These practices among many others are said to heal trauma, emotional stress, and anxiety. They can also assist in achieving personal happiness and manifesting our desires.
Healing Crystals
There are a few healing crystals that promote love for self and love in relationships. One of my favorite crystals is ROSE QUARTZ. Rose Quartz is known for drawing love into your life, creating harmony and trust, and repelling negative energy. Its so pink and pretty that you feel loved just holding it. I sleep with the crystal near my bed at night and set my intentions for what I want the crystal to assist me with. Lately I have been setting the intention for unconditional love, forgiveness, and self-worth.
Meditation
Meditation allows us to recognize our internal and external thoughts and feelings. Its sitting still and dealing with how you feel verses keeping yourself busy to avoid what you are feeling. Meditation is a healing tool that can be used anytime or day and virtually anyone can use this tool. After taking a few deep breaths and releasing any tension. Sit with yourself for 5-minutes of silence. Your self-awareness and energy will move you in ways you never imagined. I highly recommend journaling after each meditation session so you can record what feelings came up for you. Those feelings can be positive, negative, or both.
