Episodes and Seasons
Think of your favorite television series. Many will say Game of Thrones or perhaps Power. Think of all the episodes you’ve watched and what season the show is currently in. I am sure you can remember back to the very first season and episode. I am sure you vividly remember all the twists and turns that have happened in the show. No matter how many unfavorable twists we still watch the show with zest and curiosity. The season finale is a grand closing of one season which leaves you thinking about the forthcoming one. We are typically left on edge imagining what could possibly happen next and begging for the next season of episodes to begin.
Now think about your own life from that perspective. Think of all the seasons and episodes you have lived through. Can you relate?
Over the past year alone we’ve experienced many episodes some joyful and others drama filled. I’m sure we have several season finales throughout our personal story that lead us to begin a new season in a few short months. In most of our lives the goal is to make the next season better than the last. Think about your current season and how you plan on improving the next one.
Ask yourself this …..Will some characters that serve you no purpose die out? Will past mistakes become life lessons learned? Will you attract more viewers or lose some? Will you learn something new about the main character (which is you)? Are you as excited about your own season as you are for the season premier of Power?
This is just a small reminder that we are the Executive Producers of our own show. Luckily our show continues to air year after year. We are afforded the opportunity to write the story how we choose. Just like our favorite television series we write the stories, act out the scenes, and show our viewers what’s on our brain. Even though there is tons of fun behind the scenes all of this takes intention, hard work, and planning.
Have you begun planning your next season? or are you watching someone else’s series waiting for their season premier?
