Celebrating Yourself

I have a confession to make…. I am extremely hard on myself.

I feel like this resonates with most of you. I am constantly in the head space of “I can and should be doing more”. I get down on myself when I am not accomplishing things at the speed of light, when my plans fall through, or I am seriously procrastinating. Some days I have it all together and others I am a complete mess. Honestly, we are all a mess trying to get it right.

During my most recent reflecting I realize the importance of celebrating yourself.  In addition, it was also a wakeup call to actively celebrate friends who are living in their purpose. We work so hard to maintain a comfortable life, with the pressure of growing and reaching our full potential. Often in between all the grinding, working, and stress we forget to take a break and celebrate our many accomplishments.

Wherever you are in your business, professional, and personal life begin to celebrate it. Acknowledge the hard work you have put in and the goals you have achieved. I have been in a space of not realizing how much I have achieved, because I am so focused on doing more. I had to learn that mini celebrations are part of my selfcare and selflove. These moments of joy are vital to our continued success.

So, reflect on the accomplishments both big and small you have achieved over the past few months. Write them down and give yourself a pat on the back.

Remember if you do not celebrate yourself who do you think will?
