3 things you should do at the end of every month.
We are approximately 33 days from the end of this year. Feels like yesterday I was bringing in 2022 toasting champagne glasses. I am in deep gratitude for all that I have lived through this year while simultaneously reflecting on what I could have done better.
I have been back and forth asking myself a few questions like; How has this year been for me? Did I accomplish my goals? What challenges did I experience? In what ways am I planning to do better for the upcoming year?
At the end of each month I reflect on how the past weeks were and I sit down to plan the month ahead. It helps me have a clear strategy of what items I need to tackle each week. There’s so much pressure around maximizing my time and being more productive with my daily routine. I still have moments of feeling like I’m failing and not doing enough. So I aim to be super intentional about every moment of my week.
These are the 3 things I do at the end of every month that help me stay productive and inspired. Annndd on track to reaching my goals.
CREATE A BUDGET
When our basic necessities are met we can live feeling comfortable. If we cannot control how we use our hard earned money, it will control us!
No one wants to get through an entire year and realize there is no saving stash, no travel, still in debt and have nothing to show for your spending habits. At one point I was spending $250 a week eating out. Yes! So multiply that by 4 weeks.
Tracking my spending and creating a budget has benefited me in many ways. It’s mandatory for me to know exactly where my money is going each month. My priorities hit different this!

CLEAN YOUR HOME
Nothing like a clean, clutter-free, and organized home. You’ll feel happier, and your life will elevate. I’ve always been an organized person and I love cleaning. Be specific on areas that need attention and make time to tackle bigger tasks. Schedule time to organize mail and important documents, clean out the freezer or stove. Tidy up your closet or your car.
Create a weekly cleaning schedule and smudge your home often to refresh the energy. For tips and motivation, download my favorite app pinterest and type in “Cleaning Schedule.”
SIT STILL
Life gets overwhelming when we are constantly on the go. We are commuting, working, taking care of households and maintaining a social life. This can become stressful over time.
Designate some time daily or weekly to relax. It’s necessary! Schedule a few minutes at the end of the day to sit alone for 5-10 minutes or with family catch up on the day. Some people like to start the day in silence and prayer. I do both! It makes a world of a difference.
